Kanegae was established in 1983 in Kyoto, Japan. Located in front of the main gate of the prestigious Daitokuji Temple, a center of Zen Buddhism and Japanese culture, we have handled a wide range of genres from antiques to contemporary art. We are particularly strong in "superlative craftsmanship," traditional Japanese crafts of such precision and beauty that they seem to transcend human limitations. Such works have been added to the collections of museums and collectors in Japan and around the world.

In 2021, we launched a project called "KOGEI Next," which focuses on the future of crafts. The project aims to co-create with contemporary craft artists and create works that will have true value when they become antiques 100 or 200 years from now. While learning from the masterpieces of the past, Kogei Next creates unique works that fuse modern technology and sensibility to present a new frontier of craftsmanship.

Founded in Bangkok in 2010, ATTA is recognized as Thailand’s first gallery dedicated to contemporary art jewelry, also known as wearable art. Over the years, it has evolved into a platform for contemporary art, craft, and design, with a particular focus on materiality and the expressive potential of materials explored by both Thai and international artists.

ATTA’s program explores the expressive potential of diverse materials and the intersections between art, craft, and design. The gallery presents works that challenge conventional boundaries while highlighting the role of materiality in shaping meaning and experience.

While contemporary art jewelry remains an important part of its identity, ATTA has expanded its scope to include a wide range of practices, from sculpture and installation to objects and works on paper. Through collaborations with emerging and established artists, ATTA seeks to introduce distinctive voices and material approaches to audiences in Thailand and beyond.Based at O.P. Garden from 2010 to 2020 and at Warehouse 30 since 2020, ATTA has presented exhibitions and projects both in Thailand and internationally and continues to collaborate with galleries and institutions worldwide.
