Timothy Hawkinson Gallery opened in December of 2022 with a restaging of Robert Barry’s 1969 Closed Gallery piece, a landmark of conceptual art. We strive to present artists making singular artworks. Works that make the world seem bigger, shed light on overlooked topics, or provoke greater awareness. We aim to position their work into both local and global discourses. An international and cross-generational mix of artists from different backgrounds, who have fully developed practices. Gallery artist Nani Chacon was in the Whitney Biennial this year, and Miller Robinson is in the current Carnegie International. Gallery artists Samantha Yun Wall and Rick Bartow have current solo exhibitions respectively at the Seattle Art Museum and the Portland Art Museum. Gallery artists have been included in past iterations of the Venice Biennale and Documenta.

Quality and courtesy are important.
