A special installation using gold will be presented in the VIP room of the Kyoto City KYOCERA Museum of Art, which is usually closed to the public.
The “SGC Art Collection” is born from the collaboration between contemporary artists and the pure gold craft makers, SGC. For this edition, contemporary artist Yamauchi Shota will use J.G. Ballard’s The Crystal World as a motif in video and sculptural works to express a world in which seemingly unrelated events change shape and form, circulate, and are enveloped in gold.
