SOPHIE TAPPEINER is a contemporary art gallery based in Vienna, Austria. Founded in 2017, the gallery is committed to presenting artistic practices that critically engage with intersectional feminism, embodiment, and the social, political, and historical structures that shape our lives. Through solo exhibitions, group exhibitions, and curatorial collaborations, it supports artists whose work challenges dominant narratives and proposes new ways of seeing and relating.
The gallery represents Jasmine Gregory, Lone Haugaard Madsen, Angelika Loderer, Irina Lotarevich, Sophie Reinhold, Anna Schachinger, Sophie Thun, Kyle Thurman, Jala Wahid, and the Estate of Anna Zemánková. It regularly participates in international art fairs, including Art Basel and Art Basel Paris, Frieze London, Material Art Fair (Mexico City), Esther Art Fair (New York), and Art Collaboration Kyoto.
In the context of Vienna's international gallery festival curated by, SOPHIE TAPPEINER has invited a range of curators to organize exhibitions at the gallery, among them Cédric Fauq, Lisa Long, Theresa Rössler, and Jeppe Ugelvig.

Returning to Art Collaboration Kyoto for a second presentation reflects the gallery's ongoing engagement with Japan and its commitment to fostering long-term international dialogue and exchange.
