The theme of this exhibition is the relationship between gaze and time. When we think about the past or future, which are psychologically distant, we are not looking at the scenery in front of us even though we are in the present. We focus on looking at time and what it brings, and through our works we reconsider our own ways of being. We have invited artists with various visual characteristics, such as Ohtani Juji and Mitsushima Takayuki, who are completely blind, and Ishihara Tomoaki, Robin Owings, and Katsufuji Tamako, who are sighted, to express the relationship between gaze and time from their own unique perspectives. Exhibiting works from a variety of genres, including paintings, sculptures, and installations, this exhibition invites viewers to a deeper viewing experience by presenting a multifaceted perspective.
